Is this aptasia? Just noticed it growing from the back of my Devils hand leather. If so what's the safest way to get rid of it being that it's attached to my leather.

Definately apitasia! If only one is visible it came on the rock.. I've battled 100s of these things.. If this happened to me id remove the rock/coral and put in a different container and manually remove it, They can spread when threaten and in a isolated container you'll reduce this risk... If removal is not an option id recommend Aiptasia X..

If you can remove the rock it came on with care, I am sure you'll be ok.. Using aiptasia X is great but like everything else in this hobby its trial and error. You may not cover the entire disk on your first attempt - if you miss it then it will release spores! Your probably gonna have others forming already in the tank its never just one.. Get Aiptasia X and as long as your aggressive in removal they can be removed fairly easily. Peppermint shrimp do a good job of controlling babies but not adults

On my first reef when i started seeing these anemone I was so excited.. Its LR so has beneficial stuff right? Then I had every inch of rock covered after trying to remove some:p
