Aptasia

So, yesterday I bought 2 pieces of live rock from someone after looking over the rock he had available and noticing some of them had Aptasia. The pieces I got didn't seem to have any but I put them in QT anyway and began examining really good, they both have the anemone's. I'm not mad at all, I knew the odds of being able to use this rock without a muriatic bath was <15% but I liked the shape's and went with it. Now I think I want to keep the rocks in their own tank and let the Aptasia multiply then add some Nudibraches and watch those events unfold. The tank is a small 10g with only the 2 rocks, a heater and a powerhead. What's a good place to get Nubranch's?

Good Morning a good place to try is reef town.com.....I’ve ordered 8 Berghia Nudibranchs from there and there all doing excellent..Took some time for them to come out but there working...

Only bad thing is if you run out of aiptasia for them to eat they won’t last long only thing they eat..

I know, maybe I'll try and keep a tank just for Apstasia to repopulate in and add newly infested rocks so the Nudi's keep having food. I'm really not sure why I would want to do that other than watching an interesting creature whose only lifes missions are to kill aptasia and reproduce lol

+1 for Berghia Nudibranchs! I got some last night. It was a delivery of four but I think that only one survived because the truck was late and the box was too hot. Less than 12 hours in the tank and it was at work though.

Ohhhh no that’s horrible will they refund you or send more ?? They are real delicate it was hard getting them to come out of the cup.

I'm new to saltwater tanks. Isn't Aptasia bad? We have one little spot in our tank we are trying to eradicate currently. (Fish only tank)

Yes not a good pest to have at all they multiply very quickly. They can sting your corals and fish try to get rid of them quickly if you can..

I sent an email last night but I haven't heard back yet. I think it was after business hours. Hopefully, I hear from them today. If not, I may poke them with another email, but I'm so happy that the one who lived is eating that I might just chalk it up to poor luck with delivery.
