Yes aiptasia

Recommend Frank's F-Aiptasia as it smothers it unlike some other solutions that can actually result in creating more F-Aiptasia if your needle poke to inject instead accidentally breaks off some aiptasia as it will grow into another. BRS just did a video review on F-Aiptasia

Thanks a bunch!

I buried them with aptasia x suppose it does the same thing as f aptasia. I scan the tank to locate them and smother them with aptasia x so far so good only had one show up at first destroyed it but I have one show up here or there now and then I bury it and watch for more definitely have not had a major outbreak and have seem to be in control of the situation I have seen no adverse effects on my coral when I use aptasia x.

I was using kalk paste to smother them, but every time I did, I would end up with more elsewhere. Rinse and repeat.

I am trying berghias now as the aiptasia multiply faster than I can nuke them at this point.

Unfortunately I have a bigger thank with lots of rockwork I am both unable and unwilling to reach.

I introduced 10 berghias 2 weeks ago, so far I have not seen them since introduction, and my aiptasia have not gone anywhere yet. I am still in the wait and see phase for this approach though as others report about a month before seeing anything.

If this doesn't work, a fleet of peppermint shrimps will be my next attempt as by then (say another month) I'm sure the aiptasia population will just get out of hand.

They aren't that ugly, but i know they will not play well with the corals I do want to keep, and they are essentially a weed that is difficult to control. I have already had two pop up next to my acan colony and the acans did not like it one bit. I got those with kalk paste, and the acans are recovering. This is life now I guess lol.

My peppermint shrimp ate my hammer garden - 4 of 6 down before we were both 100% certain it was peppermints :( No more peppermints. One pest traded for another 'pest' ...

Yikes, maybe a CBB wouldnt be so bad then. I didnt really consider them because I worry about long term survival.

Bergia nudibranches may be the only viable 'natural' solution for aiptasia, but I have a bottle of Frank's F-Aiptasia as it seems to be best solution for killing/smothering aiptasia pest. We've also improved our dip processes so less likely to let another into tank
