It opens up when the lights go off. Is that aptasia that I should remove?

Hmmm. I wanna say no, but I also don’t recognize it. May be something much more interesting. Is it safe to assume that you don’t have any other anemones in the tank?

What’s going on with the white structure at the base? Is it hard? Does it look like a coral skeleton? The thing kind of reminds me of some type of cup coral. But at the same time not really.

Are they as problematic as the typical brown ones? They’re are much cooler looking.
If it’s definitely one No, but they do get rather large, I would observe to see how she colours up. But that blue in the tentacles it’s a big give away that that’s not the common pest aiptasia.

It came on some live rock I bought. No I don't have any other anemones.

Tank is still cycling (ammonia due to use or old dead rock). This opens up only when the lights go off. During day if just looks like a white clump. Will check if it's hard or soft.
