what would you guys suggest to do??? the only apatasia i have in my tank is on this clam and i dont really want to get rid of it lol....whats the best way to remove the pest from the side of the shell and the rim under the mantle without hurting the clam??i hear you can and you cant remove clams from water?? which is true or not?? i was thinking about just pulling it out and scrubbing it off but i didnt want to remove it from water just in case...any ideas??? it has 3 or 4 small ones....

super glue em

Ive taken all 4 of my clams out of water just make sure they dont get an air bubble in them

You can remove them from the water and scrub off the aptasia. Then rinse it with tank water and put it back in. I have a spot of algae that grows on the side of one of my clams and I pull it out about once a month and scrub it with no effects on the clam.

+1 take it out and manualy remove. You dont have to worry about an air bubble, thats a starfish thing, in fact clam breeders will simulate low tide and drop the water below the clams mantle to induce spawning.

Good to know... Thanks guys.. So what I think I will do then is set up 2 bowls with tank water and put the clam in the first and scrub the crap out of him and then rinse it in the second and then put it back in the display.. Does that sound about rite?
