Hi

I have ordered a 340 litre (75 gallon) tank and I'm trying to get some advice.

I have purchased 2 Aqamai KPS pumps from my lfs where I got the tank. These pumps are rated for a 50-200 litre (50 gallon) aquarium.

Will 2 of these provide enough flow for a reef set up?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Gary

depends on the type of coral you are looking to get set up and what your sump \ filter pumps are rated at. for a 75G tank, assuming easy LPS at 20X turnover, running the two together should be enough. (20X75G = 1500GPH)

the KPS' are rated at 1050 GPH at the top-end... so two together would give you 2100GPH then add in the filter return pump to this and you'll have your max turnover possible.

The nice thing about the KPS is the variable flows you can achieve -- I have 2 for my 14.5G nano... The downside is the app is still very much in beta state and you can't remotely control the pumps from "anywhere" yet as they advertised... nor do the pumps link together. But, it is a nice setup since you can program things in 30 minute increments with a lot of flexibility...

Happy to answer any questions you have on the KPS pumps as you get yours setup. I've had mine since they first shipped (probably the first production batch to hit the US).
