So I’m just an hour in and don’t mind scrapping the whole general layout.

what do u think? The overall height of DT is 20” and right now the highest point of rock is 11”

I also have a ton of rock left over I bought 75 pounds for the 75 gallon tank. (48x18x20)

first off I’m having some real trouble getting the putty stick to work (aqaustik).

so I’m thinking once I have it all set I will just get some type of reef safe glue? Any recommendations?

last question is how on earth am I gonna be able to transport this to the tank once it’s all setup. In 3 sections I am thinking? And then just do best to hide the seems in tank with no glue or anything just in case it has to all come out one day?

looks good. i framed my aquascape in 3 to 7 sections (depending on tank size) and then added them but a few pieces i left loose so i could add or remove as needed

I like it! I would also use 3 sections and if they balance together well, don’t glue them together. Just in case you ever need to pull a section out for maintenance, like scrubbing algae or something. Also, just make sure you give yourself enough room to clean the glass and you should be golden. It looks great, keep it up! :)

Looks good.....if I changed anything it would be to add some height to different areas so it isn't a consistent height all the way across the scape.

I went in a different direction. Here is my new scape. One problem I’m noticing is I used a lot less rock. I have four big pieces left over. What are your thoughts on this new design?

Lots of open spaces. Good for some corals and some fish, but some fish like more hidey holes. Depends on the animals you are planning on having.

Extra rock can go into the sump so you can use later.

Glue in sections you are comfortable lifting. You will want to take out and clean or move around. I know this from experience. I hate heavy sections. :)
