Aqua C remora pro

Hello all,

I am new to the hobby and started with a 16 gallon Biocube and became hooked! I upgraded to a 55 after 6 months and i am completely obsessed. My question today is I am being offered an old Aqua C remora Pro for my biocube. Through my research the Aqua C was the go to HOB skimmer 10+ years ago. Does anyone today still run one on their system or are the newer HOB that much better? Any insight to this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Has the mag 3 pump with it as well

they work for a while but you really need to keep that injector clean and i found it a PIA back in the day. I also did not like the pump in the tank.

You would be better served getting an Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 or Reef Octo HOB

Great shape with an oversized collection cup $75… said he was running it 2 months ago without issue… my thoughts were to run it until I can find an Aquamaxx 1.5 HOB that seem to be out of stock everywhere

Depends on price they're selling... I used it on 93 cube and upgraded when I noticed it wasn't keeping up. For 16G it should be fine. In my sump, I used a manifold to feed the Aqua C
