Aqua Cats have tanks!

Here are some pics of my 3rd grade students’ tanks. They set them up Wednesday with some guidance, but the aquascape and sand is all them. Putting in first fish in two weeks at our next meeting. They made posters of the Nitrogen cycle to display with their tanks in the host teachers’ classrooms.

Here is a couple examples of the posters they made. They were given a homework assignment in the time between meetings to learn and illustrate the Nitrogen Cycle. Most of my 17 kids can describe the cycle on the spot now. Kids are amazing!

So amazing! My seven year old son is very interested in the hobby and we are always learning together. I wish he had this opportunity at school!
