I just started setting up my apex classic and everything was fine. I did a firmware update (like it said, hard wired into the modem) and it updated (both firmware and web pages). But now the aqua controller is back lit but nothing is displayed. I looked on the forums and went into the classic apex look and went into configuration/module setup and there is only one display mod and I tried to update the firmware there. It says it is updating in 10 seconds but nothing happens. I unplugged it about 5 times and started over but nothing ever happens.

Please help this young guy but who is computer programming illiterate.

Thanks,

Go into apex with the built in browser via you pic and do a update on the display as well ( yes it has one)
I had the same problem and once I did that it was fine

Another question: Now it says I need to update my firmware (even thou I just did it) and in the directions it says to:

  • Using the Apex web interface, back up your current configuration just in case something goes wrong:
    1. Configuration Menu
    2. Load / Save
    3. Save Configuration
  • Download the Apex Flash zip file from here: , and double-click it to open it.
  • You MUST directly connect your Apex, using a network cable, to your home router. DO NOT use wireless. If connecting your Apex to your home router is not possible, see page 129 of the Apex Comprehensive Reference Manual for alternative options.

But in the second bullet point, it doesn't have a link for the update.
Could someone help?

Thanks,

Go to your browser and type in 192.168.1.19 enter the login and password
Your login is admin ( you can uncheck the box in the apex program above to see your password)
You will then be in Apex go to the configuration tab and then modules
The module display will give you your modules, display, EB8, etc
Click on display and then look for update firmware checked thst off and then click submit module change
And that should do it
Unplug your Apex ( restart it) and it should be good

Finally got it. Corrupt relay from apex to the aqua controller. Shout out to apex support services for the help!!!
