What is going on reefers! Wanted to start a discussion about the newest strip light out by AI the Blade LED! I got the chance to check out all of the models, and I am honestly pretty shocked by em! Check out today's video on these new lights, and be sure to let me know your thoughts on them!

Great video. I have a 48 inch coral grow coming later this week for a 48 inch tank. I currently have 2x xr15 G6 Blue. I'm planning to put the blade on the front of the tank to light some areas shaded by my aquascape.

I'm trying to figure out how to mount it. I would ideally use the elevated mount but it is not available yet. I'm thinking about just laying it on my top lids acrylic top. If anyone has any other solutions please let me know.

Appreciate you checking it out!

Comes with tank rest mounts which could totally work, but also, could figure a way to mount them with your current lighting or like you said wait till the elevated mounts are available too.

I'm waiting for the large mount they're supposed to come out with...so I can put two as supplemental and use my 32HDs.

thanks for this...

I have one in the mail - will be trying a 12" on a 13.5 gal tomorrow! - will update

I need those darn tank mounts too. Where they at AI!?!
I ended up flipping the clamps it came with and welding them to my lid for a mount.

So just to be complete

received the 12 inch blade (grow) and I was really impressed with the simplicity. Excellent beginners light doesn’t want to have to transition through entry level to intermediate light system.

Smooth set up and Mobius was a breeze

Love the streamline esthetic of the tank Compared to the 20W fluval hat i added on what has been a targeted low budget tank

Lighting is great and softies in the tank have outstanding fluorescence

Have it tuned down as there are few algae tufts needed to be starved out

before…

I emailed AI about the elevated stands and unfortunately they do not have a defined release date yet.

“Unfortunately, we do not have a time frame on when the new mounts will be available. We are working to get them available as soon as possible.”

What shocked me is the price,no way you just light a big tank with those, that would be too expensive
