Hello everyone I am new to the saltwater game and i have a 90 gal tank,my Aqua Illumination Hydra 52's just came in today and need help on what settings i should have and best coral to start with.

Welcome to Reef2Reef, congrats on starting your new tank. You can start with easy to care corals, including soft corals like leathers, Zoas, Mushrooms and Green Star Polyp GSP. But first you need to make sure that your tank is cycled and ready to add corals. can you share your water parameters Ammonia, No2,No3, Calcium, Alkalinity and salinity.

For Hydra 52 I have seen many beautiful tanks and many have successes with them, however I never run one and can't give you exact settings. maybe the #reefsquad can help on this.

These are the Red Sea reef spec recommended settings that I’ve always used on my Hydra 26 HD’s as a starting point

There are many variations and personal views if your interested in lights. I’m not so I just follow Red Sea’s advice and they certainly work.

just came from two different shops all said that water was good need to bring salinity up just a little but i was good.

If you are going to keep a reef tank I would strongly advice to get the basic test kets , calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, nitrate and phosphate
