Aqua Knight V2 noisy fans

Hi all,

I joined this forum as I see people are using these lights and I could do with some advice.

I recently ordered two of these lights from China (I am in the UK and this is the only source) and both have very loud fans. Speaking to others, they should be more or less silent. Supposedly this is a known problem that can be fixed by replacing the fans.

I've been in contact with the manufacturers to try and get replacement fans but as soon as I said I bought the lights from AliExpress, and supposedly a non-supported retailer, they stopped replying. I have tried to explain I am happy to pay for the fans since I really like the lights, and still get no response.

I wondered if anyone else has this problem and if you know of a source of the right fans? I can't really figure out what the problem is since the fans outside of the casing are silent – it seems like they just blow air out of the casing vents so quickly it becomes audible, like a PC fan. I can't see how new fans will fix that problem.

Any help appreciated,

Normally - it is normal 12 V PC fans - especially in low cost fixtures. If you know the dimension - it could be rather easy to find fans in the PC market.

Hi Lasse – I'm attaching a picture of the fan, which has the specifications. From memory (it's back in the light now), it's 5.5 cm in diameter. I think the drill holes are 3.5cm apart, but I'm less concerned about these as I could drill new ones.

It can be hard to find another fan in this case. It looks like a frameless fan and its 24 V. Most fans on the open market is 12 V DC fans.

Send a picture to the factory and ask if they can help you

Yes, I have found it hard to find the right fans. I have tried to contact the manufacturers but they're no longer replying. I could send to the makers of the fans though, you're right!

I wonder, can other people with these lights confirm that this level of noise is abnormal? Someone told me they can't hear them at all!
