I recently switched from a LED fixture to a MH/T5 fixture of my nano. I wasn't happy with the color and damage it was doing to my coral. So I have decided to go back to what I know has worked for me in the past.

I am happy with the build of the fixture, output, and appearance of the fixture itself. But I am unhappy with the output I am getting from the T5's. My first bulb selection was a Phoenix 14k 150w for the MH, a Purple + and a Blue + for the 24w 2 T5 bulbs. Being that a magnetic ballast was shipped with the fixture, my Phoenix bulb is not as blue as it would be on an electronic ballast. I am very unhappy with the current combo I have so I have bought the Radium MH bulb and another Blue+. What I am trying to get is a somewhat blue coloration in my water. Closer to 15k-20k look.

What I am trying to get at is I feel my T5's are not producing the intense blue I have seen them produce. I don't know if it is my bulb, my ballast for the T5's, or something in between. I would greatly appreciate help. I have made sure the bulbs are all correctly inserted, cleaned, made sure there is no packaging on them, and I have removed the plastic that protects them in the fixture yet I am not getting a very high actinic coloration.

:squigglemouth: I need help.....
