Aqua medic ocean light

Anyone use one of these?

Does it take double ended bulbs? What type of ballast is it? Doesn't give much info on their site. I'm putting a hqi over my 30 since its all sps. Anyone have any other cool ideas for a hqi light?

Yes, it takes double ended bulbs (HQI). They suggest using a reflex cube ballast as it already has the connections to fit it. I have used a similar light fixture by Aqua Medic over my tank and get great results!

I have the same light, but with the 2 24w t-5 bulbs and love the light. Do your research as I was able to get mine for the same price with the ballast.

I used one.

I have one of these i used before moving to a 250. they are great lights. I actaully have one I'm selling for $160 with a 2 month old phoenix 14k if your interested. I'll ship it for free. It's just sitting in my stand.

forgot to add that i have the aqua medic ballasts as well. IMO they are the better ballasts and not sure why they stopped using them. The quality is great
