I have installed the above skimmer on the back of my tank today I did everything as per instructions I cant seem to get the bubbles in the collection cup low enough I put the drain pipe in a 4lt bottle and it is filling it in about 10 minutes this cant be correct or I would empty the tank really quick I have the air intake on full if I reduce it the collection cup fills with water and there is no way of reducing the inlet pump flow I have both of the outlet pipes turned up for full flow out and still its not enough HELP its doing my head in

sorted I removed the adjuster on the end of the air line in and put an air pump on it this caused more air to be pushed into the main body of the unit in turn causing less rise into the collection cup then a small amount of adjustment on the return water lines and hey presto woohoo

Hey fingerzfrank,
you said "sorted, I removed the adjuster on the end of the air line in and put an air pump..."

Get rid of the air pump mate. You need to tweak the outflow lines where the section with the foam goes into the outlet elbow. They are into the elbow too far and partially block the return flow. Here's a link to a youtube clip that shows it.
