All I know is the Aqua Scape fis is doing nothing but failing and causing me MASSIVE headaches. To the point I am going to replace ALL the sps frags (wont be hard they fall off all the time) with regular apoxy that I used to use.

Seems every week there is a new sps coral that fell off the rock, fell into another sps and thus started fighting / burned and ruined. This stuff is terrible.

I should have used bubble gum .. would have worked better.

(and I only used it and the sps have been attached for a few months ... and they are NOT in positions that would be difficult to hold nor I am expecting too much from this stuff)

would u mind to share what size or model you have. I do have one and it is ok

Are the frags coming off of the epoxy or the epoxy coming off the rockwork? Reason I ask, is when I was aquascaping my tank, I found the stuff worked better if it could grab each part of the rock as it hardened. It wouldn't just hold two pieces together with just a dab and press together. I had to work it in to both pieces to hold.

Someone's salty......
Haha great play on words. Too easy on this forum ..

And yah I am ... when SPS are falling off all the time and now Ihave to go back in, did the bottom in hot water to soften the stuff and take it off .. then re apply everything again ... yah, Im FOR SURE salty!

No I am getting it on to the bottom of the frag, then grabbing firmly onto the roack and making sure I apply good amount of pressure and it conforms to the rock and every edge that happens to be in that specific spot.

In fact, when I do apply it, many times it takes me 3-4 times EACH frag or colony that I try to attach .. because the stuff simply DOES NOT work and always comes away from the rock.

Try a little sandpaper to clean your plug before applying to a rock

Not to rub salt in a wound here, but that's what you signed up for when you got a reef.

I tried that stuff too. I couldn't ever get it to work well. I do like the idea of it, though. I admit much of the issue was probably user error, but it seems as though there is a bit too much technique involved.

It can take a few tries to get the hang of how this glue works as it is certainly not like your traditional glue stick. It's important to make sure you're using enough, otherwise there will not be much surface contact with the plug and rock. The glue holds well against rough surfaces, you don't want there to be paper thin areas of glue around the plug or rock because that's not enough glue to get a firm hold. Make sure your flow pumps are also off during the gluing and placement phase. Once the frag is positioned, gently mold it to the shape of the plug and rock, making sure not to spread the glue too thin. Hold the piece in-place for about a minute to allow the glue to harden and slowly move away from the frag.

Tank temperature also plays a role in how long it will take for the glue to harden. If the temp is warm 79°F +, it may take more than a minute for the glue to harden.

There are some guidelines to follow when using this product. We've been using it at our coral farm for years and it's worked well enough that we decided to make it available to the public. :)
