Does anyone know if this are exactly the same besides the bulb wattage. I bought what I was told was a 57W with a brand new bulb it when I checked the bulb it was a 25W. Looking online it appears the bulbs are the same length so I am assuming I can just replace it with a 57W.

How many GPH are people running through the 57W. Their directions seem confusing.

I sent an email to manufacturers but haven't gotten a response.

Your 25 watt ballast will not drive a 57w bulb. You will need an appropriate inline transformer. They are 10% off at Aquacave right now.

The guy I bought it from claims it's a 57W. He claims the pond store replaced it with a 25W bulb when he took it in there. I sent the serial number in so hopefully I will get it cleared up.

Ah! Sorry I skipped over that part. If you had a kill-a-watt meter, you could plug it in and check the power or amperage and you would know for sure. I would send a picture of mine, but it's not the version with the wiper, so probably not helpful....

Your flow rate will depend on what you are using it for. As a water clarifier, you can go 2,000-3,000 gph. As a disease "Preventative", 1,000-1,200 gph.

So it turns out it is a 25W unit. You are saying I could make it work with that transformer and a new bulb of course?

Yes, I think so!

From the aquauv website....

Part available?. Yup. Cross checked the part # against the part at Aquacave, from the link in first post. Add a new bulb and you should be good to go.

You get this baby up and running?
I have had a busy couple weeks. Haven't even gotten around to ordering the new parts yet.

I am changing around some plumbing soon so I'll for sure want to get it at least piped in.

Do you run an Aqua?

Ok sweet! I know the holidays are tough to get projects done.... I'm eeking out progress on my 180..... Have all the stuff, just no time :)

I am running a 57 watt Aqua UV on the system that I'm setting up now. I have not run one before regularly, but will run this one full time for water clarification purposes.

I purchased it used on eBay, and am waiting for new unions I purchased directly from the OEM.

0.48 amps at 120v should be 57.6w, no? I am in the same predicament, how did yours go?
