Aqua UV 57w Sterilizer

Hey All,

These UV Sterilizers are one thing I am not familiar with although I have been doing my research to understand what they do and how to set mine up(somewhat). I bought it through the forums here and didn't get much in the way of mounting or connections. Purchased a new bulb and want to run my return line through it.

Anyone out there happen to have pictures of theirs mounted in their stands that they wouldn't mind sharing? Thinking I just get some 2" hose clamps and mount it to a 2x6 I have in my stand frame. But does it need to be horizontal or vertical? Perhaps I haven't looked online enough yet.

Here is how mine is mounted with 2" clamps that fit the aqua ultraviolet units perfect. These same clamps I believe will fit the 57 watt unit.

Very nice, did the clamps come with it?

beware of trapped air in the top portion it will get very hot and crack the quartz I know this from experience lol

Nope. Purchased separately from aqua cave but I think a lot of places have the same ones, including BRS.
