Im looking at setting up a UV sterilizer on my 150gal mixed reef. After some reading ive decided on the AquaUV 80watt.
Just curious what flow rates you would recommend to possibly aid in parasite/disease management? I have been reading and general consensus seems to be between 900-1200gph.
What would be the best place to plumb the sterilizer? I will be mounting it vertically on the wall next to the tank.

I ran mine at 300 GPH. It kept ICH and velvet away.

Anything 900gph and under should work fine to give you a very strong kill rate of the process water. As long as your system can achieve decent process rate with under 900gph turnover through the UV you'll be set up for success. I think you'll be pleased with the peace of mind and insurance policy a properly sized UV provides. Best of luck!!
