I run the 40 watt on my system 24/7 and have never had any issues with algae, is it the uv or something else I can't say 100% but I will keep running mine.

How much flow you feed to the uv. My 57w keeps burn bulb thanks bro

Just a thought, Mr. Reeflover, the proper UV flow is different for different size tanks and for the degree of kill desired. If I am off base, let me know.

Just a thought..... I have four of the 25W Aqua UV's daisy-chained together..... OP may want to keep it, and give that a try.

For everyone else.... I absolutely see results.... Feed like crazy, never test, never algae..... This is a great, easy to setup/use unit. I highly recommend it.
