Today I treated my wife's Deep Blue Nano Cube today, with the hopes that it would eradicate the planera fw's that have overtaken her tank. I followed the directions exactly as they read. I added new carbon and applied 4 drops of the FW solution, I let the product do it's work for about 20-30 minutes and then began to watch the tank, from what I observed was disappointing. There was about a 60-40 ratio of dead-live worms in the tank, of course the ratio is a simple observation and a guesstimate but I have used Salifert's Flatworm exit in the past and that product kills all FW's in sight withing 10 minutes.
Well, the dead flatworms appear to have been negatively affecting my clownfish, so I began to drain water, as I went along the unaffected worms became more and more lively, almost as if I had done nothing to the tank.
I'm going to apply a second treatment tomorrow but I'm really disappointed that I have to deal with it again.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
