Aquac ev protein skimmer with mag 5 pump

Hello all,

I have a aquac ev protein skimmer with a mag 5 pump. The tank is pretty much quiet except for my protein skimmer. Does anyone have any suggestions for a quieter pump I can use ?

That's a becket skimmer and they are not quite, as you need to force allot of water through the becket to produce the bubbles. YOu can put a sponge under the pump to help. I nice DC pump will reduce the heat of the mag5 and db levels. Reef Octopus varios pump would do well. But I would just go get a new reef octopus skimmer at that point with the skimmer off there sale page for a couple hundred bucks. JMO.
