I find it kind of odd that I have to run the aquaclear 70 on the lowest setting with the intank media basket otherwise it starts to overflow through the intake is this normal? I don’t have too much in it just porous media filter floss and 3 nano bags of chemipure

I can’t answer the specific question, but I can bump the thread to see if we can get you some help

I have one on a waterbox 15 and it has just started this. When I remove the filter floss on the top it’s fine. It has worked awesome for two months now it’s doing this crazy thing. The tank almost overflowed as it’s restricting water in the other two chambers?
It is really confusing not sure what the deal is?

You are restricting flow too much. Less media = more flow.

I run 3 AquaClear 70’s on my 135 gallon. The setup that works best is:

- 3/4” floss
- 1 bag of media like ChemiPure Blue or Elite or Fluval GFA.
- fill the rest or the space with SeaChem Matrix.

I do not have an InTank insert and have no over flow issues, but If I try add more than one media bag I get over flow issues.
I recommend Using one media bag increasing your bio media with your new found space.

I have used InTank insert on my BioCube 16. If I put too much stuff in it always overflows.

hope this helps.
