Aquacontroller Jr questions

Looking for anyone that has an older aquacontoller Jr. The one I'm looking at purchasing is the small screen back lighted one with 3 buttons. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe this is what they appear like. Anyway, I'm looking at one with the controller, 8 outlets, temp and Ph probe used. If your running one or have had one, please respond, I'm a reef controller newbie and have questions before I commit to anything. Thanks

Is it net capable and app (android) capable or what do I need?

If I wanted to control 4 led fixtures (2 cords each) dawn dusk effect (kinda), could I just simply hook any standard 5 way power strip to a single controlled outlet to operate the whites, and the same on the other colors (basically so I don't utilize all my available outlets on the aquacontroller)?
