Anyone have any experience with AquaEuroUSA pumps? Looking for a return pump for a 34 gallon deep blue frag tank. I will have about 4 feet head.
@mcarroll suggested a Quiet One 1200
But i realized i bought the 800 model and its too loud for a return pump. So not to much into that brand. I anyone has some ideas let me know.

Just so have it right, you got the Quiet One 800? I don't think it could pull off the flow rate you need....looks like around 50 GPH. Can you still try a 1200?

BTW, I've never heard of anyone using the pump you mentioned, but it should be fine.....there's no reason any pump wouldn't be 99.9% silent at this low of a flow rate.

The only reason for any significant noise in pumps this small would be from a defective or otherwise broken pump or a problem with the installation of the pump.

Installation problems that lead to vibrations are fairly common, BTW, so be prepared to do a little sherlock holmes work....some noises will actually go away as the system settles in and gets a layer of bacterial film, but others like some harmonic vibrations can be harder to track down.

I bought the 800 a few months back for a 5 gallon tank. Made a all in one tank. Only had to push water 6". I tried having it sit on the botton of the tank and had it off the tank and it was just to loud to use. Just never felt like messing with it again. Found a pump close to the gph and it is quiet. So its collecting dust.

I will look more into yhe 1200

Ah....already had it. I'd return it if it was noisy....possibly a defect.

And QuietOnes have a 3 year warranty vs defects.....don't let your China-conditioning make think you're stuck with a dud! :)

Lifegard (or any domestic company I've worked with) doesn't work that way even if your retailer won't let you return it. I'd try to return/exchange the 800 first where you bought it.

But at minimum get in touch with Lifegard if you end up keeping it. (The impeller is only warranted vs defects for 6 months, so you may have let that part of the warranty expire already.)
