I'm trying to get my water parameters in check. I've been using this stuff for a few months and started slow only dosing 50ml a day to my 120 gallon reef. I was doing lots of water changes so I couldn't tell how much I really needed to add now it's been three weeks without WC and I increased to 100ml daily. My alkalinity jumped from 143ppm to 167ppm when I increased dosing. MG has been steady at 1440. I've had to add a tablespoon of calcium daily to stay at 420.

I'm sure I need to increase dosing but I'm not sure when to increase. Aquaforest says KH should be 7.5-8 so should I wait till my alkalinity drops back down or just keep increasing till Calcium stays solid?

My alkalinity converts to 9.35 KH.

Hello,
Thank you for your question.
Following instruction from our website https://aquaforest.eu/en/product/component-1-2-3/

If one or two parameters are still not balanced- we recommend to continue with administering equal doses of each component, and take advantage of one of our additives (Calcium, Magnesium, KH Buffer) to restore desired level(s).

For now - please wait until your KH will drops back and dose Calcium or Ca Plus only to keep it stable.
The best way is to dose Component 1+2+3+ equally and correct dosage using pure elements like Calcium, Magnesium or KH.

Thanks for the quick response lol. I did cut back on the dose and my tank is looking better. BRS seems to to run out of stock often hope the will get more soon I'm close to running out. What is the shelf life for the premixed? I'm thinking of getting a year supply the next time they have it in stock.
