Aquaforest 3 part, low alk/high calcium

Hi all, so everywhere ive read mentions dosing the 3 part equally (the balling method) my alk is at 7.7, ph is at 7.45, I want to raise these. Calcium sits at 579 currently, my question is, if I'm dosing aquaforest 3 part, and calcium is already high, do I still dose equally if I only want to raise alk?

Generally, no. I would add more of Component 2 (Kh) if you're trying to raise your alkalinity and less of Component 1 (Ca). I'm not sure where your Component 3 (Mg) levels are.

pH can be a bit more of a challenge, so I would first try to achieve your alkalinity level first as you'll probably see a small bump in pH. pH can also be influenced by the amount of fresh air you have circulating, which is why some people run Co2 scrubbers to boost their pH.
