AQUAFOREST and WATERBOX OH MY!!

How are you going to cycle? I don't really want to wait another month for something interesting to happen ;)

That’s for me to know and you to find out lol!

Wow, fantastic thread. Definitely have to follow this one. Thanks for putting in the time to post this journey so we can follow along.

Thank you! Welcome to the club! Lol

It indeed has been a journey and it’s just getting started , you got here just in time ! [emoji4]

120 I’m blown away. I’ve been watching this since December but never expected something so different and impressive. I’ve never seen anyone build up above the waterline....net idea. Did you glue sand in between the rocks on the back wall, or was it blown onto the silicone before it dried? You know you just ruined the Marine reputation as being just big tough guys with all this artistic talent. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Your on the right track. I applied all of the rock up the back glass first. Then went back and applied silicone into all of the voids in between the rocks . While it was still wet I pushed in , blew in , pressed in the sand into the wet silicone. Also if you look closely you’ll see I not only did this, but in many areas there is more than one layer of rock. This gives it a 3 demential look. I worked in shelves, layers of rock and sand.

The Marines don’t want Robots, they want thinkers, people that have extraordinary patience and above all patience and persistence. I think I’ve done them justice. [emoji6][emoji12]

Oh ya and you need to be just crazy enough to try this! Lol [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]

I’ve definitely got crazy covered!!

Thank you for the kind comments! [emoji4]

Following as well!
I’ve been out of the hobby for awhile, and want to get back into the hobby.
It’s mind boggling how it’s changed!
I’ve been reading up about the AIO setups, and it’s definitely a game changer.
I’m thinking RedSea 750xxl since it’s the biggest AIO at 200g. I like the Waterbox 135.4 as-well, but this go round, I want to go as big as possible with the AIO.
But I digress, as I am interested in following your build!
Thanks

Hmmm you might want to hold tight for just a bit! Waterbox is about to come out with a very nice line of much larger tanks than the 750xxl [emoji6][emoji6]

I think things are going well lol

120.....I thought of something I forgot to ask...did you consider doing the back wall with the tank layed on it’s back side while you built the back wall so that you wouldn’t have to prop the pieces up?

I did think about that but I also thought about the increased weight trying to move it after completion. That in its self made the other option better in my mind. I also didn’t want to strain the tank etc... trying to move it back upright once done. It was a good thought, just some negatives I wasn’t willing to risk. ;)

@120reefkeeper pics are nice, but, to do it justice - requires HD video. Like that you can show the overview, and dive in to show detail, now that the scape is done.
Pretty please with butter on top?

I’ll see what I can do. The tank is now filled with water so I’ll have to consider my options. [emoji23]

Just checking the progress:)
