Hello
I have been using Red Sea coral pro salt since fathers days this year. I have also been dosing NOPOX to lower nitrates. I just recently this past weekend experienced a bacterial bloom that nearly wiped out my tank but I was able to cut back in time and things are going back to normal. Nitrates are at 0 and I know it's time to cut back. I'd like to continue the dose of NOPOX once the water clears from the bacterial bloom. I'm aware that I have to resume with 1/2 of the dose I was doing before my nitrates reached 0. Another thing that happened this weekend is that I ran out of the Red Sea coral pro salt and I finally got to buy aquaforest reef salt that I had been wanting to try.
My question is can NOPOX be used in conjunction with a salt that's not made by RED SEA? Are there any ill effects that I can experience? I also have Red Sea colors and reef energy and I was wondering if they can be used with h aquaforest salt. If not I'll just put them aside and move on.
Thanks in advance .
