@Anirban should i still get the NP Pro and the pro bio S or hold off on that? i need salt anyway so it'd be a good time to create a recovery shopping list and get it all in one shot. that is why i asked if i should be using it ongoing a few messages ago.

Yes...you still need to get those. Also get a small bottle of Bio S too. We will slowly bring the system into a balance. But as I said no water change tomorrow only test those parameters.

i have a quick newb question for you guys...
i see you recommending Mg+ in a few examples through this forum and i was curious what the difference between those products and just preparing 1000mL of water with Aquaforrest's Magnesium salt? Same difference or are is the Mg + better for boosting levels than straight dosing solution?
**keep in mind this is just a question and i do not plan on adding anything to my tank lol**

7am this morning: Ca 465 Alk 8.32 Mag 1470
Just 30 minutes ago: Ca 460 Alk 8.32 Mag 1485
Nitrate was .5ppm today and Phosphate read out at 0.08ppm after feeding my fish a couple of extra times over the past 24 hours.
bought np pro and pro bio s and will add shortly. Anything else?

No dosing today like yesterday....just half dose Pro bio S and NP pro from tomorrow morning. We will get there soon.

Its good to see those results.... wait one more day without dosing but keep your components handy, possibly we will dose them tomorrow. You can dose the pro bio S and NP pro half dose don't bother about the nitrate or phosphate at the moment.

ok i don't have cal+ or mg+ should i buy them? also, i'm going to start taking my measurements at 7am as its been the time i reliably get it done without interruption.

I dont think you will need them soon but its always help to have them with you when we are fine tuning the system.

my ph sure drops without any alkalinity being dosed. the average daily swing used to be 8-8.25 and is now 7.9-8.
