Hey everyone, I've ordered my first three corals this weekend and expect them this week sometime. The lfs i ordered these from only stocks this product "Af protect dip". As a newbie this is a company I have not heard much about. Usually see people use coral rx. Is this a decent product?
Thanks.
Paul.

I was actually looking for long term info on the AF protect dip so I will ad it here. I have been using it for more than a year now. Let's revive this thread!

1) Ease of use: simple, easy to dose. The doser provided by the doser is not adequate for small volumes (1L or less) so I use a syringe to measure.

2) Corals respond well after dip. No loss so far and they generally open well. Tried it on: ricordeas and other mushrooms, euphyllias (even one I suspected was starting brown jelly and I saved it, but I did not confirm disease), acans, acroporas and birdnests, blastomussa, candy cane and gsp.

3) Accidents: had 1 turbo snail fall in a treating pot for a few seconds: alive and well 6 months later.

4) Other: actually smells nice! lol I always use gloves when handling and make sure to discard properly away from my children and pets.

Let's see if other users chime in!
