I currently have been dosing pro bio s and vinegar combined with about a cup of zeomix in a tank with 55gal total. I have reached 0 nitrates now for a month and things are understandable getting pale. My question is, as I lower my vinegar dosing to reach a point where I am able to keep ~1-3ppm nitrate. Should I be backing off the dose of pro bio s?
I'm dosing two drops a day and 24ml of vinegar.

AF does not recommend vinegar as a carbon source as it brings down the nutrient fast. You can continue dossing Probio S with NP pro which is the recommended combination. Also your zeo can balance things up a bit. But keep an eye on element balance as zeo can suck some up.
You can refer to the AF forum down here. We have a lot of experienced people here who can help.

Thanks, reading their documents it only mentions VSV and vodka. Nothing about vinegar.

Lol..I think VSV is vodka, sugar and vinegar. So, none recommended.

I would say they don't recommend it partly because they don't profit from it. But vinegar works fine with the AF program. I use 50ml of vinegar and 50ml of vodka every day, also using pro bio s but it's not really a necessity. I am sure you will not see any difference if you back off of it some. If your corals are pale you should get more nutrients into the water.
