Hello R2R!

I perform 1.25 gallon water changes daily and want to switch from IO to Auaforest Reef Salt. My question is, can I mix the salt in the RODI station and allow it to sit for a week or so by the tank in my reservoir, awaiting water changes? I know that the Aquaforest Probiotic Salt requires you to use it immediately but I was not sure about the regular Reef Salt. Thanks in advance and have a great day!

That's fine. I've done the same in the past.

Awesome, have you stored for more than 5 days before? Aquaforest recommends no more than 5 days. Also, when storing, do you have a pump to circulate water? I don’t need one with IO. Thanks!

I've gone a week with the probiotic before now. Didn't really notice any difference to be honest.

I guess some bacteria will. Start to. Die off as most of these strains in probiotic only live about a fortnight anyway.

None probiotic lasts almost indefinitely.

I use natural sea water now and well the bacteria in there is fine in packaged container for some good months.

So literally take it with a pinch of salt. :)

And no I've never run a pump in container once salt is mixed initially
