So I am buying 2 Sol fixtures and I'm curious about peoples opinion on the AI controller over the Apex VDM. I currently have an Apex controller and love it. So is it worth the extra money to incorporate it into my Apex or just use the AI? I don't leave home much and don't really see a need to control my lights remotely. However if there are better reasons to use the Apex, then a little extra money buying the VDM is totally cool. I plan on plugging the lights into my EB8, but maybe that will cause the AI controller (if I use that) to lose it's memory of what I set up. I guess I don't know a whole lot about these yet.

If you already have an apex I would go with the VDM as its a very nice option to program it from your computer.

^this. Since the AI controller is ~$70 and the VDM is ~$100+~$18 for the cable I'd say do it. I've never had the AI controller but from my understanding you can do it all with the VDM anyway.
