Seen a awesome tank the other day at a lfs deep blue 30 rimless its 24x24x12 with a corner overflow
Question is will one ai nano say about 12-16 inches over the tank be enough I'd like to build it as a look down type tank

I feel a regular sol is way to much of a fixture for a 12" tall nano
Considering my last tank was 8 feet long
But I'm wrong a lot

I have a close friend with an Ai nano over a jbj 28 gal. It is just barely enough. We used a par meter and the readings were disappointing. I think a sol nano is a light for like a 15"x15"x12" max. 24x24 is just out of its league. To be totally honest I think 24x24 is going to be tough for a regular sol to cover. I have one and even replaced all 40 deg optics with 70. Strangely it's over a 24x24x20 and I had to add a 2nd to cover it all. Hope that helps.
