My first tank that I started about 3 years ago hasn't gotten much love since I started putting more time into my 220 gallon display tank that sits downstairs, I'm looking to finally change that.

I've planned that this tank will be converted over to a coral and invert only QT setup so I can more safely monitor water parameters compared to the Fluval 13 that is currently doing this duty. This will act as the first home for my little business venture into an in-home LFS.

The first things to do will be to clean up the electronics and plumbing before I incorporate the Auto Water Change system that I already have in place and add on to the existing GHL Profilux controller on the main display to help keep everything in line.

This project will likely move fairly slowly so please be patient. [emoji3]

I finally got to work on this project this past week. I've done better work when it comes to gluing PVC connection points but I can always go back and clean it up.

I'd like to credit @Broadfield for the manifold design used here. The space is very limited but I can get my hands on everything that I need to.

I've wanted to replace the overflow drain valve for a while as the stock unit was just too annoying to deal with. A Spears gate valve is a wonderful upgrade here.

The Red Sea Reefer 170 is a 43 gallon system with sump.

The "U" bend that will connect the reefer return pipe to the manifold. After hooking this up the first time to check for leaks I discovered that I must have damaged the O-rings as water was leaking out badly from the ABS adapter pictured here and the lower portion of the return pipe that passes through the overflow (its connection point). It was nearly 3 years of being undisturbed and must have cracked.

These first pics have the electronics still in place even though I would eventually remove them. I decided that I would just build another cabinet but it will be a while again before I get to that.
