AquaMaxx C-Tech T series

Aquamaxx (bulkreefsupply) offers a 1 year warranty, just make sure where you are buying it from is a authorized distributor or it will not be covered, here is a few screenshots of the policy that I read
this definitely swayed from LFS to BRS . i hear the pumps go out

I tried their calcium reactor as well and it leaked too. I was able to get the media reactor to stop leaking by building up a silicone barrier. It's ugly but I'm not one of those sump dwelling admirers. It's the only size that works for me so I had to make it work. I decided to run GFO so bought a second. It does not leak. I ditched the GFO in favor of NoPox so trashed the rigged reactor and have been running the one that worked out of the box since. You have to make sure your hose clamps are super tight. You need to use the ones that are threaded and use a wrench because you can't get it tight enough with a screwdriver. 1 out of 3 worked for me out of the box. I recommend using a different brand but if this is the only size that works for you than make sure it's returnable.

Edit:Sorry I just realized this thread was of the CARX. I would steer clear! Get the Geo. If you can't afford it wait for a used one. They pop up often.

Thanks for update. I’m going to ask LFS if it’s returnable. Most likely not

I bet if they stock it on their shelf they will. If so they probably run Aquamaxx devices. Ask them how their luck with all the leaks. Hopefully you get an honest answer. May I suggest placing it in a bucket until it earns its trust? I'm glad to see I'm the only one having trouble wiry aquamaxx. I want to love them because of their price but I can't be washing my floor with saltwater.

Leaks come from failed joints/unions. It will be obvious most likely. A good way to tell is to rest the device on a towel. If the towel is damp there is a leak. Take a flashlight and look at every joint once it's under pressure.
