I'm having trouble with my skimmer and I don't know what to do

The skimmer is appx 9,5inch in the water and the valve is all open and the cup still overflowing.

The aquarium is about 1 month old and it only contain sand and about 55 pounds of lr (system is about 62 + 30 gallon sump)

What should I do to tune my skimmer ?

Did you break it in? How long have you been running the skimmer? This is the only skimmer I've had that I'd say I've had to 'break in'. I went by the directions as I recall and ran it without the cup for about 2 days. I was then able to tune it and refine as I went.

You was right. After cleaning it again a wait 2 days it now skimmed perfectly
