Hey guys. Im wondering if the aquamaxx hob 1.5 has any issues with changing water levels? My thought process says no because the pump is not located in the tank.... can anyone confirm of deny?

Changing water levels in the tank. I plan to have it mounted in the filter section of an AIO tank

They say 4 inches of lift for the pump and mine does every bit of that and once primed it would probably do more.

You dont have to tweek it when water in the filter section starts to evap away
No, not at all. if you check out the pictures in my build thread you can see i use it as a HOB skimmer and when I change the water it just keeps running no problem.

I've had this HOB on a 50 gallon for two years now. Trouble free unit and I leave this skimmer running when I do a water change provided the water doesn't drop below the intake. I bought a spare pump, impeller and other spare parts when Marine Depot was going out of business but haven't had to use them.

I clean this unit about every 3 months or so but it is an easy chore once one has done it a few times. The one thing I did do was glue in the threaded fitting for the airline hose as I found it can come loose if not careful i.e. not a lot of thread engagement on the L fitting.

@Bulk Reef Supply i cant find the thread, but i heard that the aquamaxx 1.5 will be back in stock early april?
The ETA for our next Aquamaxx shipment is towards the end of this month. It's a bigger shipment, so it may take a few days to process everything into inventory. This is all assuming no further shipping delays, of course.
