Aquamaxx LED nemo light

im comfortable agreeing with Saltyfilm, it seems it would work well in a low penetration, shallow build.
You tell us how it works. Its very new. LEDs have laser like pen and intensity.
Im interested to see how these turn out.

I have the 8" inch light on a Innovative Marine Nuvo-Fusion 10gallon. The tank is 13inches deep. The light is very sleek and the attachment bracket has a low profile. The light sits approx 5-6 inches above the tank.

With that said it is very bright provides total coverage of the aquarium. I'm currently stocking zoas and LPS (mostly Acans) and all are doing great. You can adjust the white or blue light intensity and it has a timer function with dawn and dusk capabilities (check YouTube). Nothing fancy but for the price it is well worth the investment!

But, IMO you might want something a little more powerful/controllable for SPS.

and depends on the sps. tyree ponape birds nest is sps. likes med to lower light. the lower the better color ime, (I have 3 in different levels).
Lets say high light corals.not sps pls.

I'm looking at a Jbj 45gal rimless. Is that too deep?
I think so. for me not worth the gamble. @130 you can do better esp used. Reef breeders sbreeflights reef radience or two current orbits used. all have better spectrum than a chinese black box.
if you hit the $200 mark you can get a LOT of bang for the buck.
@25o A LOT of bang

I cannot set mine right. It's in my bedroom so I like to turn it off during night but then pops on at 4am or whenever. I followed instructions but seems no way to turn blue off at night without it popping on whenever!
