Hello all, I am seeking to purchase an LED light for a 30" long, 31 gallon tank, and so far the best one I have found for my purposes (growing a few softies, maybe a couple LPS or SPS high up in the tank) is the AquaMaxx NemoLight AquaMarine 24-36 Inch model. I was wondering, as the light fixture itself is only about 20", would this work for my 30" long aquarium? Would this model disperse the light well enough laterally?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I don’t know that fixture specifically but in general you’d need to hang the light fairly high to hit an extra 5” on each side.

Do you know that light’s spread?

Nay, I do not. I have looked at several vendors reviews and specifications but none of them tell of the spread. I will keep looking though. I don't necessarily want to have corals growing throughout the length of the tank, but I don't want a brightly lit middle of the aquarium and dimly lit sides, if you know what I mean.

Thanks,
