Aquamaxx XS Fluidized Setup Instructions

Good Morning, Just added two Aquamaxx xs media reactors, and having a hard time understanding how to get the proper setup on these, hoping someone can help with proper setup.
Following the instructions to setup:

1. Bottom perforated disc
2. Foam
3. Media
4. O-ring
5. Foam
6. Perforated disc

Running Carbon - Once I go above 20GPH the foam and disc go straight to the top of the reactor and the media starts tumbling to a point it gets pushed beyond the foam and disc and exits into the sump

Running GFO - just would like to understand the proper setup so the media doesn't exit out when running this.

If the chamber isn't full I think you need to put something else in there to take up the space, like a piece of filter foam. Tumbling media will get ground up and bad things happen.

I have yet to plumb mine in but will follow for any other opinions

Good idea and thank you. I added foam and seems to make a big difference.

what did you do to get the GFO to tumble in the aquamaxx reactor? what pieces did you use?

any pictures?

Added a mini jet dc pump and shut off to control flow. Order stayed the same from original post except flip 4 and 5.
