aquapond UV filters

Hi All

I was given two UV filters sometime ago from a friend brand new there aquapond models for the aquaone brand 2 x 36watt units, do you think they are worth using?
I’m not sure I buy the UV light filter thing, as it kills all bacteria, the good and the bad, but clearly I’m no expert

I'm not familiar with that brand. Let's see what others that have experience with it.

Find out if they are decently made. Bad ones will melt on you. Can cause a lot of issues down the road

The effectiveness is dependent on several things including flow, dwell, intensity, etc. Many pond filters are for clarification and not necessarily for sterilization.

I might just throw them on the cichlid tank I think
