I have a quick question to the club. I am planing for 6' x 3' x 2' aquarium. I intend to give ADA look on joints. Will LOCTITE Liquid with UV Light work for my aquarium joints.

Thanks and Regards in Advance.

Welcome to R2R and thanks for signing up.

Welcome
I think you want to use a glue that is cured under uv light
From what i understand its glass aquarium
And no that will not work its too stiff and will crack, silicone flexes

if it’s acrylic using weldon will do it, you need to make sure there are no bubbles and the seams are bonded well
also bracing will be required for a tank of that size

Thanks for your reply. Yes it's extra clear glass with side as 19mm thk. and base is 25mm the. I wish to have 2 vertical bracings on top from mid sections. Eventually i have seen ADA built aquariums are not built with bracings.
Rgds.

For now from what i know our industry only uses silicon make sure its reef safe silicone (100% silicone) with NO additives like mold resistance etc
