Hi, I have a new tank builder and the tanks I recently received are not siliconed together the usual way. In the past the side panes are sitting on the base pane while the front and rear panes normally go down flush to the stand and the base pane. My new tanks have all 4 side panes siliconed around the base pane. Wondering if this style is secure or a risk the panels push out at the bottom. See the pic, because I can understand if it sounds confusing.

This 'floating bottom' style is very common. How large is the tank? Glass thickness? In some cases they'll add extra glass strips around the bottom edge to make it stronger.

The tensile strength of the silicone is a lot stronger that we realize. Ull be fine.

How much a pane will bow out is mostly a function of thickness and length. Nothing to do with how it's siliconed

That will be just fine. You will, however, need to put some sort of pad (a thin sheet of Styrofoam or dense rubber mat) under the tank and the bottom will need support over it's entirety. Most would use a piece of 3/4" plywood.
