A friend and I drove out to Glass Cages .com just outside of Nashville. My friend has a 120G currently and he decided he wanted to go bigger, so we drove out from Knoxville. We met up with the owner and he gave us a tour of the warehouse, It was unbelievable how many aquariums were in this place. There were tanks of all sizes, from 1G to 800G's. My friend had picked out a 96x24x31 that had been in the shop for a while. They have a small warehouse near the front of the property where they have tanks that have been ordered and not picked up or were built out of specification. Some of the tanks had starfire glass on the wrong side or the wrong side was drilled. I have read a few negative comments about build quality, but we spent almost 4 hours looking over several tanks and I could not find a single tank that was poorly built and as far as price goes, I don't think I will purchase from anywhere else. I am going to get him to do a build thread here for everyone's viewing pleasure.

Outrageus!! If you were a decent person you would have taken the time to look for someone more "locally".

Did you get something as well? Look forward to reading the build thread.

I sense a slight hint of sarcasm :).

No, I am less than low on funds, I went just to help out, but I did find one of the best dimension reef tanks, a 60x36x25 for $650. I have officially started my new tank fund .

I got my 240g tank from them and absolutely loved it. I also got my 100g acryllic sump from them. It ruled too.

Acrylic is a royal pain to clean and keep free of scratches. Go with low iron glass, it is the best of both (except for weight).

If I can come up with the funds I plan on geting low iron glass. They had several tanks next to each other that had reg glass and low iron and it was plain as day what was low iron and what was not.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
