Aquarium cleaning tips

I've been trying to get the glass clean,inside and out. I use rodi water
To clean the outside but just seems to smear. For the inside I have a long handle cleaner. Doesn't seem to do a good job. What are some techniques other's use?

I like the Tunze Care magnetic scrapers with plastic blades for the inside, but you have to keep up on it.
Once there's hard algae, I go for credit card directly in my hand,,, after that, if bad enough, razor blade CAREFULLY (on glass tank).

For outside, I usually just use a micro-fiber cloth.
For anything worse, I use any glass cleaner sprayed (away from tank) onto a paper towel and go at it -- I don't worry about the ammonia from this but I guess some people do.

Outside just wipe down with cloth or vinegar if need it.
Inside I just have always used a mag float scrape gets rid of coralline quite easily. (glass tank)
