I have some salt build-up underneath my tank by the rim I'm not sure if it's leaking or if it's from spillover that has passed around the rim. Should I get a new tank? NEED HELP ASAP. I really do not want my tank breaking and spilling all over the place. Also, any tips for switch tanks for one that is all set up and running.

It could be salt creep.

Welcome to R2R, I would clean all the salt creep, dry everything and watch the tank carefully.
