has anyone ordered from aquarium depot? I've been looking at some of their stuff but don't know if their trustworthy

Ordered from them twice and both times a number of the inverts were DOA. On one order even the replacement items were DOA. Will not be ordering from them again.

its common for junk companies to change names to get rid of their past reviews. im told getting copepods from them is ok but anything else is basically junk.

I had the same experience as Wy8tt. All corals were DOA the first time, as were the replacements. I'm glad to know Aquarium Depot is the same company because I won't be ordering from them.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I belong to another forum and two different people, one in particular, ordered 1,000 copepods from them. She posted a picture of the bag upon opening. No way was there a thousand copepods, maybe 50.

My first online coral order from anywhere...
I ordered a pack of four zoas, one paly, and one mushroom a couple weeks ago. My order was processed and I was notified it was ready to ship a few days later; two day shipping and I was given the expected date of shipment so I could plan to be home and get it in my tank asap. So far so good.

I received tracking information and the shipment seemed to be on time, except the day of shipment my tracking had not updated from the first scan in Florida (I live on Ohio). This turned out to be the fault of USPS... though USPS told me to contact the seller. My first complaint: in effort to find out where my shipment was and to avoid the death of my new acquisitions I called and emailed Aquarium Depot several times. No answer, no response.

My package arrived a day late and consisted of what I was promised (I think... more on this...). I acclimated everything as quickly as I could and got them in my tank. Second complaint: my mushroom had been glued to a plug but obviously didn't stay put. I would have liked to been able to put it in my tank attached to something and not have to deal with trying to get it to adhere myself.
Fast forward a week later (today) Aquarium Depot finally responded to my email but didn't actually seem to read my email... saying "we see you received your shipment, is everything doing well?" I responded back with some questions and they responded with a canned response about return policy that had nothing to do with my email.

All that being said, whoever said "you get what you pay for" is probably right, though I would potentially buy from them again if I saw an amazing deal.

Could anyone help me... the zoas and paly that have opened have very little color. Is that normal, will that improve, etc? A week out one of my frags has not opened at all (supposed to be cherry bombs). I know a few polyps have disappeared/melted in the past week. Here is a pic of them as of last night... should I still hold out hope?

Just an update - Aquarium Depot sent me a whole new order free of charge and with free shipping. It arrived on time and all of the corals opened up. I would order from them again.

I just ordered a lot of corals from them last night...I couldn't pass on the 75 percent sale they were having...I got 13 colonies of zoas and mushrooms for 113 bucks. It seemed too good to be true but I took the risk...I will post pics of what I ordered and what I actually get. I will tape the opening too for YouTube. I recently did a diy protein skimmer and put the video on youtube I couldn't believe how many people watched it. Anyway pray for me and I'll keep you updated.

I had The same issue. I ordered 2000 pods and there was no more then 50. I also ordered corals, and inverts. Everything was DOA and they did nothing for me. I would recommend to Stay as far away as possible.

The above pics are what I ordered...promised 10 plus polyps of each Zoa type except the Bad momma jamma.....all this for 113 plus I got free shipping. I will hit the jackpot or get my heart broken....it does seem too good to be true though.

My experience with them as reefs2go was terrible, I wouldn't buy from them again.

Good luck! I was pleased with their customer service in that they replaced my order that was DOA pretty quickly. That being said, my zoas had and still have very little color.

My experience with reef2go is also bad, a while back I've ordered a yellow coris wrasse, Zoas and a red monticap. Yellow wrasse arrived DOA, Zoas looked nothing like the pics from their website and they never even shipped my red monticap. All they did was they gave me $5 store credit from the missing cap and dead wrasse, lol what a joke

Okay I finally got my order...ordered on the 19th and received it yesterday but the weather has been cold I'm sure that was the first window they could ship. Received my 13 colonies plus one freebie everything was alive and about 15 to 20 polyps per colony. Was very pleased with my order I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck. I would definitely order from them again but be prepared to be patient about shipping time on free shipping orders.
